EGC Membership Rules

    All members are to be given a copy of these rules. Acceptance of membership in EdGolfAventure Club (EGC) and participation in activities and events releases and holds harmless of all EGC officers from any and all responsibilities, liabilities, claims, causes of action, injuries, judgments, or other damages of any nature whatsoever including but not limited to, any personal injuries any member might suffer directly or indirectly resulting from the member’s participation in the aforesaid activity or event.

    1. Membership in the organization shall consist of people who have paid the organization fee of $20 each fiscal year.


    2. Membership Qualifications:
      • Any person regardless of color, creed and religious affiliation is qualified to be a member, provided however that the applicant must be sponsored by a member in good standing and approved by the officers.
      • Members not in good standing may be expelled for good cause. Upon majority vote of the Officers and payment of the fee for the year of expulsion, a member may be reinstated.


    3. Grounds for expulsion:
      • Non-payment of membership due.
      • Inappropriate conduct in and out of any gatherings, events and golf activities.


    4. Declaration of invalid score, unintentionally or intentionally, will result in a disqualification for any given tournament. (Repeated offense will result in cancellation of EGC membership)


    5. To be eligible for prizes, each member must comply with the following:
      • Must pay the $20 membership fee
      • Must pay the SCGA membership fee:
             - $30.00 for new member
             - $15.00 for multi-member


    6. New member(s) must play 3 EGC tournaments to qualify for the monthly tournaments (this is to establish your EGC handicap - if you have an SCGA card it will be the lower of the two (EGC Handicap or SCGA)) and must play at least 6 EGC tournaments to qualify for the year-end money prize.


EGC Handicapping System

  Every tournament game is a different situation and we at       EGC set our own rules for handicapping by the following         items:

  1. Using your verifiable SCGA index or EGC handicap (whichever is lower)


  2. Getting the average of your first 3 games for non SCGA members


  3. Adjusting your handicap (+/-) after each tournament results


    • If a player becomes champion and/or the net score is 66 and below, his/her handicap will be lowered a maximum of two (2) points towards the next tournaments.


    • Runners-up handicap will be lowered by one (1) point towards the next tournaments.


    • If a player does not win in any of three consecutive games played, his/her handicap will be adjusted by adding a maximum of two (2) points towards the next tournaments.

  • EGC tournament maximum handicap for men is 32.

  • EGC tournament maximum handicap for women is 36.



    EGC Tie Breaker System
  1. Lowest gross


  2. Back score with handicap


  3. Front score with handicap


  4. First hardest hole, second, third, etc.



    EGC's Grand Prize Tie Breaker System
  1. The number of games played will apply


  2. Number of times player has placed (1st to 5th place)


  3. Play off played at the next tournament


  4. There will be the following brackets:
    • Ladies Bracket - Handicap 0-36
    • Bracket B - Handicap 0-21
    • Bracket C - Handicap 22-32


    Point system will be as follows:
    • 1st - 5 points
    • 2nd - 4 points
    • 3rd - 3 points
    • 4th - 2 points
    • Participating in the tournament - 1 point
